Colma Officers Locate Grand Theft Suspects – Theft Crew
Colma, CA – On 08/04/2020 at approximately 3:05 PM, Colma Police Officers responded to a “grab and run” type theft from a business on the 200 block of Colma Blvd. The suspects entered the store and stole numerous laptops, for a total loss determined to be over $6,000. A witness provided officers with a license plate for the suspect vehicle and Colma Detectives later located the vehicle on northbound I-280 prior to the HWY 101 Interchange in San Francisco.
With the assistance of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Francisco Area Office, the occupants were detained without incident. The driver, identified as Tracey Christy, an 18-year old resident from Oakland, and a male juvenile out of Castro Valley were arrested for commercial burglary and grand theft.
Through our investigation, it was determined that this theft crew was linked to numerous other laptop thefts throughout the Bay Area.
Anyone with information about these individuals or the theft crew is encouraged to contact the Colma Police Department Detective Bureau at (650) 997-8321. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the anonymous tip-line at (650) 997-8337.
