Request for Public Assistance with Identification of Peeping Tom
Colma, CA – The Colma Police are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a Peeping Tom suspect that was observed filming a female victim changing in a dressing room. The suspect appears to be tied to multiple incidents that occurred throughout the Bay Area this year, which included sexual assault and battery.
On 9/12/23 at approximately 8:45pm, Colma Police Officers responded to the unit block of Colma Boulevard to the report that a male had been observed filming a female in the store’s dressing room earlier. The 21-year-old victim observed the suspect had a cell phone propped up under the dressing room stall after she had been in various states of undress. The victim confronted the male and he fled. When officers arrived on scene, they searched the store and surrounding area and were unable to locate the suspect.
Officers obtained video surveillance footage of the suspect and have been working with other law enforcement agencies and are requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the perpetrator.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male in his late 20’s to mid-30’s, approximately 5’8”, with an average build, a medium skin complexion, short dark hair, facial hair, and was seen wearing a gold necklace.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or can identify the suspect is encouraged to contact the Colma Police Department Detective Bureau at (650) 997-8321. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the anonymous tip-line at (650) 997-8337.
