Carrie Slaughter
Term of Office: December 2022 – November 2024
Biography
Carrie was born and raised in San Francisco. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and her Master’s in Public Administration from San Francisco State University, where she also earned bilingual teaching credentials in multiple subjects. She has over 35 years of public service experience ranging from a classroom teacher to a labor negotiator. In addition, she represented Colma on the San Mateo County Vector Control Board.
Carrie has always wanted to move to the Town of Colma, and in 2016, she did just that. Carrie was appointed to Council in November 2022 to fulfill Council Member Diana Colvin’s remaining Council term, ending in November 2024.
Council Committee Assignments
Representing the Town of Colma on Citywide and Regional committees is one of the duties of a Council Member. The following are committees that Carrie serves on as a member or alternate:
- City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG)
- Emergency Services Council
- Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance – “Commute.org” Board of Directors
