Thomas Walsh
Term of Office: November 2024 – November 2028
Biography
Thomas Walsh is a native San Franciscan, who was raised in the Sunset District of San Francisco as the youngest of eight children, in a house with twenty-two foster children his parents brought in to live under their roof until they were adopted (usually having two Foster Children at a time.) Mr. Walsh graduated from St. Gabriel’s Grammar School, Riordan High School, and the Administration of Justice program at San Francisco City College.
In 2003, Mr. Walsh moved with his wife and children to Colma. Mr. Walsh began his life of public service volunteering with his mother at St. Anthony’s dining room as well as at Laguna Honda Hospital when he was very young; seeing the values his parents had such strong feelings for, the public service commitment was passed down to him, in helping the greater community by being involved and volunteering and caring for those in need, Thomas has since very much made those values his own.
As an adult Mr. Walsh has helped the greater community by giving his most valued asset, his time, as a volunteer working for The American Red Cross, as well as volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, Meals on Wheels, sometimes having his wife and children assist in the Meals On Wheels volunteering effort, and Mr. Walsh is also a regular blood donor with Vitalant Blood Centers / Irwin Memorial Blood Bank and has been a regular donor for over four decades now.
Currently Thomas Walsh currently works as a Program Manager for United States Federal Government. Mr. Walsh is also a member of his agency’s Peer Support Team, helping teach Suicide Prevention and is of service to his peers when they are in their greatest time of need.
