The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County
The Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County provides free civil legal services to low-income San Mateo County residents.
The work of the Society includes five broad areas:
- Obtaining Health Care
- Preventing Homelessness
- Accessing income support programs
- Fighting for freedom from Domestic Violence
- Bridging the education gap
Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center
The Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center (PCRC), founded in 1986, is a public benefit corporation serving individuals, groups, and organizations throughout San Mateo County. They provide conflict prevention, management, and resolution services and promote the use of non-adversarial processes in a wide variety of situations. PCRC services empower people, build relationships, and reduce violence.
Project Sentinel
Project Sentinel provides a range of services which include Community Mediation; Fair Housing information and counseling; Home Buyer Education; Mortgage Counseling; and Tenant/Landlord Assistance.
